We are coming to the Fort in 5 days, YAYYYY.. Is there a way we can find out what site we will be on?

    Hi Katrina!

You are down to single digits in your countdown and that is exciting!  Thankfully, the Fort Wilderness Resort is back in order after the hurricane and looking great. We arrived ourselves a week ago and you would hardly know that this resort had to be shut down for over a week for cleanup.

It is impossible for guests to get their site numbers ahead of time. It is a giant jigsaw puzzle for the site assigners to deal with each day. Some guests extend their stays and if there is any room anywhere on property then they are allowed to stay on their site. Other guests depart early opening new sites up. It is an ever changing map of openings and closings.

My husband loves several sites in the 600 loop so we always request it. He is a football nut and he has to have his satellite coverage on the weekends. We come down every fall and we actually wait until a site opens up which can be interesting. But we stay for several months and having a happy husband is important!

I am sure you will have a great site waiting for you in just five days. I am excited for you and perhaps our paths will cross. Enjoy!
