Hi, we are coming for our first visit to WDW in September 2016. There are specials available now for this time eg: free dining plans/discounts. As we are staying in the Little Mermaid room at Art of Animation are we not eligible for any of these specials?

Hi, Angela, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! First visits to Disney Parks are always so exciting! Planning your first visit, actually any visit, here can be quite overwhelming. Know that we are here for you whenever you need assistance and would love to help make your visit truly unforgettable!

Your arrival day looks to be super close, only a couple of months away. As you noticed on the Walt Disney World Resort Special Offers page, there are discounts available that cover your dates of travel. Each special offer does carry a set of exclusions. I have noticed that since it opened a couple of years ago, the Little Mermaid standard rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort have been excluded from special offers. That said, these rooms are well worth it! I have flipped my fins in these gorgeous rooms several times, and our daughters have them at the top of their list when helping me choose our next stay's accommodations. If you have Little Mermaid fans in your family, I bet they will be highly impressed with the rooms and the theming of the Resort grounds.

Be sure to take a look at some of the Moderate Resorts, as I have noticed some of their special offers put them very close to the price you may pay for the Little Mermaid standard room. Points to consider with a change to a Moderate Resort are that you could have more spacious rooms with queen- or king-sized beds, bedding options for five Guests, added amenities such as table-service restaurants, and my daughters' favorite feature - slides at the Resorts' feature pools!

I hope this information helps you with choosing your Resort hotel, Angela. We hope to hear from you again as you continue planning your visit.
