I traveled to WDW this past summer with my husband. He is a big golfer and I am not.
During this trip, he went out three times at the WDW courses as a single. He did call ahead to make tee times. This way the courses could arrange to have him come when there were other smaller parties for him to go out with. Each of the three times he golfed, he was placed with other singles or a group of two. It all went quite well. I do encourage you to make a tee time so that he can be sure to get onto the course with a minimal wait -- so he can get back to helping you with the kids in a timely manner :-)
You can make tee time reservations by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. Be sure to
ask about discounted rates, as there are often deals for WDW resort
guests, DVC members, annual passholders, Disney Visa holders, and
others. You may not find anything that applies to you, but it never
hurts to ask.
Additionally, club rentals are available at all the Disney courses. You can find out more about rentals, lessons and more on the page found
HERE.
Have a great visit to WDW!
