We will be coming Feb 24th - Mar 6th, 2010. Looking to do a character meal. What would you suggest? Me, DH, DD (12), DS (8 &4) We will be staying off property, but plan on having park hopper passes. We have done the Norway one and loved it!!

Hi, Jamie!  We have been to all of the character meals currently being offered at Walt Disney World, and for the most part, when I book my advanced dining reservations, it comes down to which characters the kids most want to see.

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort is a big hit with my gang.  The food is buffet style, but the choices are varied and quite tasty.  We like that we can get there using the monorail, so if we are at the Magic Kingdom, we can hop over, grab dinner, and come back for Wishes.

Another favorite with my girls is the Garden Grill at EPCOT.  This slowly rotating restaurant at The Land features Farmer Mickey and his pals, and a family style meal that my kids love.

By far, my personal favorite is the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom, but I have a soft spot of Winnie the Pooh.  This is also a buffet meal with loads of delicious options, and the characters here are currently your favorites from the stories of Winnie the Pooh.

I have a four year old daughter who loves the character lunch at Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with characters from the Little Einsteins and JoJo's Circus.  There's singing and dancing, and it's a grand time.  My eight year old daughter balks about having to go, but enjoys it just as much as the little one!

I hope you have a wonderful upcoming vacation, and some fabulous dining experiences!.
