    Coming to DW June 13-20th with our 3 boys, how long does it take for the boat to go from Chef Mickeys to Fort Wildreness campsites, have 6:40pm dinner with Mickey and wanted to know if we would make it back in time for campfire at 8pm?

    Hey Jenny!  Great question as there are many factors that play into that particular travel schedule, and I am really afraid you are going to be cutting it pretty close to make the 8 PM campfire.  Your dinner will probably last at least an hour.  Then you have to walk to the boat (possibly wait for a boat to arrive), travel, arrive at FW campgrounds and then still catch a bus to the actual campsite.  Honestly this could take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes.  We recently stayed at the FW cabins and sometimes our timing would be great and we'd catch the boat just as it arrived, but other times we did have to wait.
    My best advice would be to see how long dinner last, and enjoy CM as it's such a fun place to dine, and then make your decision from there if it's worth it to try and make the campfire.
