    I am coming to DW w/ 3 friends in July for a conference, which takes place at the Hilton, but we want to stay on property. I am DVC but out of pts. Can I book a studio at OKW on a secondary site (Expedia) and still link it to MDE with the reservation #?

    I can certainly relate to your position. If only we had unlimited Disney Vacation Club Member points!

    Yes, you can absolutely reserve your accommodations for your favorite Disney Vacation Club Resort using cash rather than points, and it is easily linked to your My Disney Experience Account. Now, the most convenient way to do this is to book online through the Walt Disney World Resort website or by calling 407-939-5277. Any reservation placed directly through Disney should auto-populate in the My Reservations & Tickets section of your My Disney Experience Account. 

    If you decide to book your Deluxe Studio Villa though any third party service, you will need to link your reservation manually. There is a button to do this just under the My Reservations & Tickets section that says Link Resort Reservation. Simply click that, enter your Reservation number, last name, and phone number. Say, "Bibbidy, Bobbidy, Boo!" You should see it connected. Then you can continue with your planning as you would with a reservation that you made using your points.

    Just a small note, though you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, only reservations made with points or complete vacation packages paid with cash are eligible for the Disney Dining Plan.
