We are coming to DW the first week of March 2010 and have a large group with us...where are the best dining options for large groups???

Hi, Danielle!  I find when I travel with a large group, the most difficult task is finding food everyone likes!  If I choose an Italian restaurant, someone wanted steak.  If I choose steak, someone else wanted Chinese.  It can get quite frustrating!

I think your best bets are going to be the buffet locations.  Not all of them are character meals, although the character meals are certainly fun for all ages.  My favorite buffet at Walt Disney World is definitely Boma.  This Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurant not only offers a variety of unique flavors, you will find some familiar options as well.  The best part about dining here is that after dinner, or before, you can head out to see the animals on the savannah and enjoy the stories around the fire pit.

Another good location is the Biergarten in EPCOT.  Whether you come as a large group on your own or not, the tables are set up so that you are seated family style with other guests.  There's a nice little show here as well to enjoy while you eat.

If buffets are not your thing, there are many other dining options that will work for your group.  Locations like Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge and the Wave at the Contemporary Resort are other good locations that are crowd pleasers.

The key to getting a dining reservation for a large group is going to be to call early.  You can book restaurant reservations 180 days before you arrive, so you want to start planning soon.

    Enjoy your upcoming vacation!
