I am coming to DW in Aug 15-24, staying on site at the Pop century. This will be my hubby and kids first visit. We have an 8 day pass and food plan. I am wondering if there are any must sees for hubby, and kids 5 and 4. Also is the boardwalk nice?

    Danielle,

My family enjoys the Boardwalk area quite a bit! Besides the great restaurants (and there are several over there!), we find the outdoor entertainment a nice relaxing change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the parks. My daughters are 4, 6, and 8 and we spend an evening there on every trip. You can also walk toward the International Gateway from the Boardwalk area and catch a bit of Illuminations without even entering Epcot!

Beyond the headline attractions, I'd recommend you check out hidden gems like Tom Sawyer Island and the Swiss Family Treehouse in the Magic Kingdom, the Innoventions halls in Epcot, and the Kids Discovery Clubs in Animal Kingdom. Sometimes guests head stright for the rides and miss some really cool, interactive, and yes, FUN! learning experiences along the way. These laid back spots are a great change of pace from what can be a very busy vacation schedule.

    Have a wonderful trip!
