We are coming for our 1st DVC vacation in March and can make dining reservations starting in September. We were wanting to wait until the end of October to buy our dining plan. Can we make reservations and add the dining plan later?

    Hi Julie!

Congratulations on becoming Disney Vacation Club Members! You are about to embark an exciting adventure of magical family vacations. We have been Members since 2009, and my only regret is that we didn’t become Members sooner!

I always find that Disney does their best to make things as convenient as possible for Members and Guests. You’ll be happy to know that you can absolutely add the Disney Dining Plan after you have made your Advance Dining Reservations. You should go ahead and make any desired Advance Dining Reservations 180 days prior to your resort check-in date. Then simply call Member Services, or use the DVC Member Website when you are ready to add the Disney Dining Plan to your stay. You must have the Disney Dining Plan added no later than 48 hours prior to check-in.

Just a little tip, as a Disney Vacation Club Member, I often have difficulty making online Advance Dining Reservations right when the window opens, which is 6 a.m. I have always had to call once the dining line opens at 7 a.m., so be prepared for this possibility.

Come back and let us know what other questions you may have about planning your trip, or how to use your Membership. We are here to help!  Happy planning, and “Welcome Home!”

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
