Hey there, Allison, and welcome to planDisney!
Easter is a most egg-citing time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. My friend
Tammy and I celebrated our birthdays together a couple of years ago over that holiday weekend. Between enjoying the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, a Sunday brunch at
The Crystal Palace, and all sorts of spectacular resort offerings, we had a real ball. While there don't appear to be any egg hunts at the resorts, there are still some great ways to celebrate that weekend.
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is one of a handful of resorts that host the legendary chocolate egg displays, featuring a wide array of Disney characters and scenes that are the stars of Spring at Walt Disney World. These soccer ball-sized works of art made by Disney culinary craftsmen can be found at your resort, as well as
Disney's Beach Club Resort right next door,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and
Disney's Contemporary Resort. A little resort hopping to check them out is definitely worth your time.
Pro-Tip: If hunting is really more your speed, walk over to
EPCOT and hop around the World Showcase for the
Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt and Spike's PollenNation Exploration. At select merchandise locations, you can grab a map and hunt for the themed egg hidden in each country or Spike the Bee in all his secret spots among the gardens. Mark up the maps for each found egg or Spike sighting and turn in your findings for a little treat!
Allison, I hope I've shown you all the eggs you could wish for on your Disney vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!Happy planning and Happy Easter!
