    Hi, we're coming down in October of this year. Is mickeys not so scary Halloween party worth it for kids ages 3,5 and 7. I'm concerned it's just too late and they'll be asleep before the festivities even begin. Thanks!

    Hi Jessica,

    Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite events at the Walt Disney World Resort. It is the only parade I have to watch and I love the Halloween candy.

    We took our daughters for the first time when they were about 10 and 12. I thought this was the perfect age as they still liked to dress up and they could stay up later to enjoy the benefits of the event. We spent the day at our resort by the pool and then headed to the party at 4:00 pm.

    While there are plenty of children there who are the same age as your children, it is an added expense. At that age, my children were in bed by 9:00 so we would have missed most of the activities.

    One of my favorite tips to families traveling to Walt Disney World is to stick to your children's schedule. Everyone is rested and you can always visit again.
