Coming down July 2011 for daughters first trip and will be on the DDP. She is 9. I know we will need to order hers from the childs menu. But can we share the food from our plates with her also, or is this frowned upon?

    Hi Lori,

This is a great question. While your daughter needs to order off of the children's menu, you can absolutely share some of your meal with her. I know that on the dining plan there is a lot of food.

Also, if you will be dining at any of the buffet's, she can certainly pick "adult" options besides the children's options. The same goes for you. I really enjoy the chicken tenders at Chef Mickey's so I routinely eat them at this restaurant.

The snack options do not fall under adult or child so you are free to choose any item which is marked Disney Dining Plan or DDP. In general, they are food and drink options which are under about $4.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
