We are coming to DisneyWorld next week for our first trip ever! Should we expect the park to be busy this time of year? Can we utilize the extra magic hours (have a 2 day pass with park hopper) or is this only for those staying overnight at the resort?

Mid-October is a very pleasant time to visit WDW. The crowds should be low and the temperatures are usually quite manageable.

Extra Magic Hours are a benefit that is only for guests staying at WDW resorts. If you are staying at an off-site hotel, then you will not be eligible to participate in Extra Magic Time. However, with a Park Hopper ticket, you should be able to make good use of your time at Walt Disney World.
