We are coming to DisneyWorld for the first time in September 2013 and staying at AOA. We have twin 4 year old boys. What other resorts are easy walking distance and where can we get close sit down dining? Anything else must/see do at Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Darlene,

I love first time vacations at the Walt Disney World Resorts! My oldest daughter was four when we took our first trip to the Walt Disney World Resorts.

The Art of Animation is the newest resort on property. Featuring a large number of family suites, this makes it a great choice for family's who want a separate sleeping space and more room. The food court, Landscape of Flavors, has a wide selection of food choices as well as seating.

Unfortunately, the nearest resort is Pop Century and it is not close enough to walk. It too has a food court similar to Art of Animation. You can dine at another resort using the Disney transportation. However, you will need a transfer point such as Downtown Disney or a theme park.

As for must sees at Magic Kingdom, it really depends on what your children like and would enjoy. Some guest favorites are Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain and Jungle Cruise. Fantasyland has Dumbo, Peter Pan's Flight and Mickey's PhilharMagic.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
