Hi we will be coming to disneyworld for the first time Aug 21-27th. I am coming with a 6 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old. Any recommendations of must see for these three little girls and things we can maybe save for a later trip.

    Hi Anielka,

What a great age to have a first trip to the Walt Disney World Resorts! It is such a magical time in your daughters' lives.

I think all the parks are so special. At this age, you forget how they like to take every little thing in and how that fascinates them. We as parents forget this. Yet one of the things I am constantly reminding myself is to take it slow.

For example, in Magic Kingdom's new Fantasyland, enjoy the wait for Dumbo inside the tent and let your daughters burn energy. Or at Animal Kingdom's Boneyard, dig for a dinosaur. The best ice cream the world according to my oldest daughter is in France so grab some as you stroll through the countries. Swim at your resort's pool instead of heading to a water park.

What I would not do is book extras such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Hoop Dee Doo Revue or the Spirit of Aloha. Save these extras for another trip. I would recommend one character meal so you can meet the characters.

Finally, if you do not have tickets, just do the base Magic Your Way ticket and skip the park hopper option.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
