Hi, Josephine!
I love that you are planning to bring your granddaughter and her friend to the Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate their "Sweet Sixteen" together! Just being in the midst of the magic will make it an extra-special birthday for the girls. I'm also planning to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday in the parks in December, so I'm happy to share some of the ideas I'm considering to make it the most magical birthday yet!
My family and I recently experienced the
Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing and thought it was fantastic! We arrived around 7:45 p.m. and feasted on a delicious selection of treats and drinks. We made our way to the garden around 8:30 p.m. and found the perfect spot to watch this firework spectacular without feeling crowded at all. My daughter and I sang along to the music as we watched the fireworks and castle projections in awe! It was an amazing ending to our Magic Kingdom day.
I also recommend picking up Celebration buttons for the girls, and you may want to purchase some Mickey Ears at The Chapeau and have "Sweet Sixteen" embroidered on them. If you stop by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Cinderella Castle, a Fairy Godmother-in-Training will sprinkle a dose of pixie dust on the girls. One of my daughter's favorite stores to visit at Magic Kingdom is Crystal Arts on Main Street U.S.A. This store has some very special crystal and glass gifts that will make wonderful keepsakes, and custom engraving if you want to have something personalized. There is also a beautiful selection of tiaras for sale at various price points.
I hope these suggestions will make your celebration one to remember for yEARs to come! Best wishes to your granddaughter for a magical day!
Nancy
