We are coming to Disney World this year & are booked into the Port Orleans Resort (2 adults and 2 children). We found out we are expecting another child which will be 5 months old when we travel. Are the rooms big enough for a cot?

    Hi Claire!

First I want to say congratulations!! How exciting! What an exciting time for your family. Not only are you expecting a new bundle of joy into your family, but you will be bringing your little one to Disney for the first time.

The Port Orleans Resort is absolutely beautiful. I was lucky enough to visit this amazing resort when I visited Walt Disney World in December and the resort is wonderful. The rooms in Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside both measure 314 square feet. Most of the rooms have two double beds, a table, two chairs and a dresser. The rooms accommodate 4 guests, plus one child under the age of three in a crib. Just note on your reservation that you would like a Pack 'n Play or crib in your room and it will be in your room when you arrive.

Another bonus of staying at Port Orleans is that the rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort offer murphy beds at no extra charge. You can request a murphy bed, which is big enough for one child under the age of nine, and it folds down nicely from underneath the TV.

Disney World offers a whole host of benefits for those traveling with little ones. Check out the Little Ones at Disney Theme Parks guide for more information on Rider Swap and more!

I hope you have a magical stay!

    Magically,
    Stacy
