We’re coming to Disney World from the UK this year in late November/early December for what will be our 25th visit. As we usually come for Halloween, this will be our first time for the Christmas season. What can we expect as opposed to Halloween?

Hey there, Sacha, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited for you because you're heading to The Most Magical Place on Earth – and not just any time of the year, but the most MERRIEST, most joy-filled, twinkling-with-holiday-cheer season of all! There's an entire sleigh full of festive fun waiting for you...so let's dive into all the jolly holiday wonders you have to look forward to!

There's something extra magical about kicking off the holiday season with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. From the moment you step onto Main Street, U.S.A., you'll be surrounded by shimmering lights, festive decorations, and the sound of cheerful holiday music. With "snow" falling, complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, a dazzling fireworks show, and the beloved Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, it's the perfect way to unwrap the magic of the season!

Another popular offering you won't want to miss is EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays. This heartwarming celebration invites you to explore the rich holiday traditions of cultures from around the world. Each World Showcase pavilion offers its own unique festivities through storytelling, live performances, and seasonal treats.

One of the most cherished traditions of all is the Candlelight Processional – a breathtaking retelling of the Christmas story, brought to life by a celebrity narrator, a full orchestra, and a powerful mass choir.

You cannot talk about the holidays at Disney World without mentioning the Disney Resorts, because they truly go all out for the season! Each resort is transformed with its own distinct holiday charm, with grand Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and themed decorations that reflect the resort's unique style. If your schedule allows, I highly recommend setting aside an entire day just for resort hopping – it's a wonderful way to soak in the seasonal spirit and admire all those cheerful details tucked around every corner.

Last year, the Disney Parks Blog revealed their seasonal offerings during the Halfway to the Holidays announcement at the end of June, so we can likely expect that same timeline for this year's announcements. Be sure to keep an eye on the blog around that time to stay up-to-date on all the festive details.

Sacha, I hope this has given you a little taste of the holiday magic that awaits you at Disney. If any other questions pop up while you're wrapping up your planning, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're always happy to help!

Wishing you festive fun and magical memories,
