Happy holidays a little early, Annette, and welcome to planDisney! I love having a good plan well in advance, so you're speaking my language. And there's no better place than a Disney park to celebrate the holidays. I even spent one magical Christmas Day at Tokyo DisneySea! I know you'll have a good time celebrating at
Walt Disney World Resort. If EPCOT is on your must-do list, I recommend the
Candlelight Processional, which is held during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Celebrity guest narrators tell the Christmas story, and a choir that includes Cast Members will give you chills with their moving renditions of classic holiday carols. I'm getting in the holiday spirit just thinking about it! I know you don't want to miss a single second of the Christmas magic, so let's ensure you have your Christmas geese in a row.
Although it's difficult to predict when theme park reservations will start getting full for the holiday season, we can look at past years to get an idea.
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT showed limited availability around September and October last year. Note that the park will turn yellow when its availability is limited, so if you check every few days this fall, you'll be able to see when parks start booking up.
Annette, I advise you to make those
theme park reservations now. They are easy to change as your dates get closer, so you aren't necessarily locked into your choices. You can change your theme park reservations through your My Disney Experience account by going into My Plans and clicking the Manage Reservation button next to the park you'd like to change. You'll be able to see availability before you confirm any changes. I'd feel better knowing my
theme park tickets are purchased, and my park reservations are secured well in advance.
I ho-ho-hope you have a holly-jolly visit in December, Annette! Please
stop by planDisney anytime for some hot cocoa and a chat about Disney.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
