Hi, I am coming to disney world with my children in December for my daughters Make-A-Wish trip. I am concerned because my children have EoE ( severe food allergies), and they wanted to meet the characters somehow. But dining is not an option. Please help.

    Hi Selha,

A Wish trip is so very special - I'm sure you want to do everything possible to make the visit magical.

While many guests do enjoy meeting characters during meals, this is by no means the only way to meet them. Nearly every character that greets guests in a dining situation also greets guests elsewhere in the parks. For example, Mickey Mouse appears at Chef Mickey's restaurant (as well as several others), but he also greets guests at Town Square in the Magic Kingdom and in the Magic of Animation pavilion at Disney's Hollywood Studios. There's no need to be around food to meet your favorite friends. And as a bonus, there is no charge to meet characters in the parks, while you would need to pay to meet them in the restaurants.

You may be interested in an article from the independent website TouringPlans.com which gives tips about meeting characters in the parks:

Your Wish coordinator may also have some helpful information about ways to best meet your family's needs during your visit.

Please let us know what else we can do to help you plan. We'd love to help make your vacation wonderful!
