We are coming to Disney in September and we purchased a Dining packet but I am reading about free dining packages available during the time we are coming. Can we get the free package added to our plan as well as what we already purchased?

Hey, Tracy! Walt Disney World Resort offers so many amazing Special Offers throughout the year. The Free Disney Dining Special Offer has to be the most anticipated one! With it, guests are able to receive one of the Disney Dining Plans for free, based on the Disney Resort Hotel in which they choose to stay. This offer does have limited availability and comes with other stipulations, such as a required length of stay and purchase of a specific type of Disney Theme Park Ticket. Be sure to look over its page on the website to see if it can fit your travel needs and if so, let's see if we can help make your visit a bit more magical!

I am not sure exactly when in September you are visiting, so the answer will really depend on that information. All changes to a Disney Resort Hotel Package must be done within 30 days of the beginning of your stay. Changes done within the 30 days are subject to a $50 change fee and $15 processing fee, the prices of which are subject to change at any time. You can log in to your My Disney Experience account online, open My Plans to find your reservation, and look to see if there is an option there to Modify the trip. If so, click it and see if the system will allow you to add the Special Offer to your stay. You may find that you will need to swap to another Disney Resort Hotel due to availability. Also, the system may require you to change to Disney Theme Park Tickets in your package to fit the offer's qualifications. Be sure to take a look at the price of the package before confirming. I have often found the room-only discounts to actually be a better deal for my family than the dining discount, so you will need to do a bit of "Mickey math" to see if the Free Disney Dining offer is practically perfect for you.

Tracy, if you prefer to have your own Fairy Godmother help with this change, feel free to call the Disney Resort Reservations line and have them use their magic wands to assist you. Thanks so much for stopping by with your question and please let us know if you have any others!
