We are coming to Disney in May, My daughter will graduate high school and turn 18 within 2 days of us getting to the park. We want to make it super special. Any tips on things we are unaware of that would help make it more special?

    Hi Felicia,

Ohmygoodness, I am SO excited for guys! In my opinion, there is no better place to celebrate something as special as a graduation AND a birthday than the Walt Disney World Resort.

My first piece of advice would be to pick up a birthday or celebration button for each of you when you arrive. You can pick this up during your Resort hotel check-in, at a ticket counter, or at Guest Relations. Cast Members and even some guests will know you're celebrating and wish your daughter a happy birthday throughout your stay.

Have you looked into Disney's Enchanted Extras collection? You will find some amazing ideas to add that extra bit of pixie dust for special moments and celebrations. You could enjoy a unique dining experience, tour, or have a meaningful gift delivered to your room to celebrate your daughter's birthday and big achievement. Choose from flowers, gift baskets, specialty cakes, or an in-room celebration to really help her feel special.

Since your visit is in May, I'd encourage you to check out the 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. I'm taking my daughter this spring and can't wait to enjoy some special dining and entertainment experiences and see the spectacular gardens!

Would she enjoy a carriage ride? Or what about a special dinner with some of her favorite Characters? The opportunities for magic and celebration are endless! Have fun and enjoy this special trip with your daughter, Felicia!
