Hi, I am coming to Disney on March 11 this year. My daughter and I are dwarfs and sometimes have a hard time standing in long lines or walking far. Please advise if there is anything that can help with this problem. Thank you. Karen

Hi, Karen!  I cannot think of a place that is more friendly toward people with various challenges than Walt Disney World, and I hope your experience is filled with magic and sprinkled generously with pixie dust!

When you get to the theme park, go directly to guest services for a Guest Assistance Card.  The card, when presented to the cast members at the various attractions, will allow you certain conveniences, such as helping find ways to avoid long lines.  Having traveled with my father, who was in a wheelchair for many of our visits, I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have the Guest Assistance Card!

As for not being able to walk very far, there are wheelchairs and electric convenience vehicles available to rent.  The daily fee to rent a wheelchair is $10, and the ECV rental is $45 per day.  You can get a discount if you rent your wheelchair for multiple days.  The rate lowers to $8 per day for a multi-day rental.

    Enjoy your upcoming vacation!
