Coming to Disney 5/5-5/11. Last year we stayed at AKL, the year prior, we stayed at Old Key West. This year however, we are on a tighter budget and have to choose a moderate resort. Which resort would you suggest, our children are 4 & 5 and love pool

    HI Joanne!

May is a beautiful time to visit Walt Disney World! The weather is great and the flowers are in full bloom! Spring has definitely arrived - even in a cold year such a this one!

Since you're children really enjoy pools, I would suggest staying at one of the Port Orleans resorts. Both the French Quarter and Riverside have great pool complexes, and as a guest here you'll be able to enjoy both pools. French Quarter has a great serpent slide and Riverside has a fun pool area as well! For a change of pace, you can enjoy each pool and their different slides.

Don't forget to ask for a calendar of activities. You'll find a variety of kids' events at both resorts - many of which are free or low-cost. You'll have no trouble attending any of the activities at either resort.

Another nice plus of these resorts is the boat transportation to Downtown Disney. You'll have quick and easy access to all the restaurants and shopping!

I hope this helps! Have a great trip!
