We are coming to Disney the last of Jan 2016. Grandkids..8, 5, 5, 2. we are using the dining plan. Can the little ones share a table service or quick service? even a buffet, what about a character meal? Do we ask for the meal to be divided?

    Hi Claudia,

Welcome to the Moms Panel.  I know that you will get the award for "Best Grandma Ever" for taking your grandchildren to the Walt Disney World Resort. You're going to have a wonderful time making memories to last a lifetime.

The Disney Dining Plan is setup so that you are paying for each person in your party per every day of your vacation with an allottment of:  1 Quick Service Meal, 1 Table Service Meal and 1 snack per day. For the character breakfasts and buffets, each child will use one of their credits and you would not be able to share meals between children.  The same applies to table service meals.  All that being said, if you wanted to share a quick service meal between children, you could do so, but then you run the risk of having leftover meal credits at the end of your vacation which would be a waste of your vacation dollars.  The grandkids will be ordering from the Kids menus and the portions may not be enough for two hungry five year olds.  I have a five year old grandson and sometimes his appetite is amazing.

If we can answer any more guestions about your Grand Adventure, please come back and visit us. I hope you have a spectacular time and I wish you a magical vacation!
