Hi there Dawn! Welcome to planDisney, I am so excited to hear you plan on traveling with your granddaughter next year to Walt Disney World Resort! 5 years old is such a magical age, especially when you bring them to Walt Disney World. You are in for the best vacation ever!
As a girl mom, I have several tips that will help with planning this visit with your princess. Over at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, she can meet one of my favorites, Princess Tiana, and another traveling princess at
Princess Fairytale Hall, which is a hop, skip, and jump away from Cinderella Castle! You can also meet another one of my favorites,
Princess Merida over at Fairytale Gardens. If you wish to see several of the princesses at once, look no further than the
Festival of Fantasy Parade, which is sure to make your granddaughter's princess dreams come true. For all three of these suggestions, you do not need a separate ticket!
If your princess is a fan of
Frozen, you can meet
Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus in the Norway Pavilion at Disney's EPCOT Park before hopping on the
Frozen Ever After attraction. If you wish to see other princesses, check out this
magical list, and you can download the My Disney Experience app to your phone to have the most up-to-date wait times and places to meet on hand. Finally, your little princess needs to be dressed in her royal best! I would always purchase a gown from
shopDisney ahead of my visits and travel with them in a vacuum-sealed bag, so they take up less space in your suitcase.
Dawn, I hope all of these tips help you plan the most magical visit to Walt Disney World. May it be full of enchantment, lots of pixie dust, and smiles!
Frances
