We are coming to Disney in June, but will only be staying one night & going to do 2 days, I can't decide what to do about hotels. I'm debating on the Wilderness Lodge, but am really needing some pros & cons. There's not much info for shorter stay

Hi, Elizabeth!  I totally understand your dilemma in trying to choose a resort.  There are so many options, and the themes of each are so different, it's hard to pick one from all the options!

If you plan to book a deluxe resort, while I absolutely LOVE Wilderness Lodge for so many reasons, for a short stay, I'd probably look at one of the monorail resorts.  You can save a bit of time on transportation by staying at the Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian, or the Polynesian if your short stay includes a trip to the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT.  You won't have to wait for buses, and the monorail seems to be a much more convenient method of transportation.

From the Contemporary, you can walk right to the turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom, so that's really ideal for a quick stay.  You won't wait for any form of transportation if you make the short walk right to the park.

However, if you know what days you are going, you may want to check and see what theme parks are doing extra magic hours.  You may be able to get a bonus hour in the morning or up to three hours at night at one of the theme parks.  If you opt to go to those parks and they don't include the Magic Kingdom, transportation via the monorail won't come into play.  Then I would definitely say the Wilderness Lodge is a perfect choice - beautiful landscaping, rustic luxury inside, wonderful restaurants at the resort.  Again, one of my favorites.

    Have a great time!
