We are coming to Disney January 28th 2024 the same day as cast member appreciation day and the park closes at 4 o'clock and I'm just wondering how were the crowds be during the day?

    Hi Ben, welcome to planDisney!

Michiganders must dream of winter in Florida much like Olaf dreams of summer. Dream in full color about the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, let your taste buds dream about Mickey-shaped snacks, and consult the attractions list as you dream up your must-do list.

I applaud your efforts to be informed about your January visit to Walt Disney World Resort. The Hours & Events Calendar currently shows information through the first week of January. There has been no official word about a Cast Member Service Celebration scheduled for January 2024, though it may be helpful to know that Magic Kingdom Park was open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, for a well-deserved Cast Member celebration.

In the next few weeks, should the Hours & Events Calendar reveal that Magic Kingdom Park closes early on a day you are scheduled to visit Magic Kingdom Park, past trends indicate this will be a day with smaller crowds as compared to a longer park day. In my experience, you can get just as much done on a shorter park day with smaller crowds as on a full day with bigger crowds. I'll also point out that theme park reservations are not required for date-based tickets beginning January 9, 2024, which gives you some flexibility when finalizing your park days.

I hope this information helps your Disney dreams come into focus, Ben. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
