We are coming to disney for the first time Oct 1-8 and are staying in the park and would like to know how much time it takes to travel from park to park? We have dinner reservations at 1 park but would like to go see a show at another park.

Hi Bradley! What an awesome time of year to visit Walt Disney World! A lot of the Moms and Dads here on the Panel will be there that week too, so wave hi if you see us!

Disney buses, boats, and monorails transport guests from one park to another, which makes visiting multiple parks in one day easy! Walt Disney World is a large place, and the travel time from one park to another can vary from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the parks between which you're hopping. I can give you a more exact travel time if you want to visit me again at the Moms Panel and tell me which parks you're planning to visit that evening. You might also want to check out the Transportation Wizard found on the unofficial site OurLaughingPlace.com, which gives you estimated travel times between all points in Walt Disney World. Whenever you're planning to use Disney World transportation, be sure to factor in an extra 15 minutes in case you need to wait for a bus to arrive.

Have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
