We are coming to Disney in a few weeks and it's our first trip. I have a 6 yr old daughter and an 8 yr old son. We have dining reservations for Chef Mickey 8/6/12 and Garden Grill on 8/8/12. How can I get an itinerary to help out?

    Hi Shane!

Congrats on your first trip to Walt Disney World! Your kids are at the perfect ages to enjoy much of what Disney has to offer.

I suggest that you visit touringplans dot com to get a customized itinerary. For a small fee, you can subscribe to this site and get touring plans based on your needs and interests. This is not an official Disney site, but I use it on every trip. It provides you with crowd calculators and tips on parks to visit and avoid for each day. It can be extremely helpful in planning your time.

You can also pull together your own itinerary based on what you want to see at each park. I suggest you create a "top five" list for each park that you would like to visit. Ensure that you hit up Magic Kingdom early in the trip because your kids are great ages for that park. If you have enough time, I suggest that you visit Magic Kingdom twice. I also like to leave the last day for "the best of" so my kids can experience all of their favorites one last time before we go.

    Magically,
    Stacy
