Coming to disney in 6 days..yea! Staying at port orleans riverside and getting ready to check in online. It asks for a room request so is there a section of the resort that has better access for transportation and conveniences? Have 9 and 5 year old. Thnx

The way this resort is set up, it's not very easy to get a location that is convenient to both transportation and amenities without paying extra for either a preferred location or a Royal room.  If you have done either of those, then it's really not necessary to request anything in particular, as your room will be predetermined based on the type of reservation you booked.

If you just reserved a standard room, you can try to request a particular location, but remember that it is only a request and not guaranteed. That said, I would consider building 16 of the Alligator Bayou section if you would like to be close to the main pool and dining areas. Also building 38 is close to the pool, or 34 and 37 are close to bus stops.

If you do a quick internet search for a 'Port Orleans Riverside Resort Map', you can see each of the buildings labeled and get a better feel for which location might appeal to your family.

    Good luck!
