Coming to Disney in 17 days! Can't wait! Traveling with my dad, DS5 & DD3. Will have car available. Staying at AS Movie. Should we take shuttle to parks or would it be easier to drive? Heard shuttles get very crowded at All-Stars, will have stroller w/

Hi, Jennifer!  While I hear good things about the Walt Disney World transportation system, I almost always use my own car for convenience.  Many times in the past, I have traveled with my dad, who was an amputee and either in a wheel chair or using a cane; my mom, who has artificial knees and has trouble walking; or my mother-in-law, who has had hip replacements.  When you add to that mix three daughters who can get very tired and cranky at the end of the day, standing even for only a few minutes to wait for the bus can become a hassle.

If you are staying on Walt Disney World property, you do not have to pay for theme park parking, and with a stroller and kids, and someone elderly, it might be easier to just hop in the car.  The transportation provided by Walt Disney World is reliable and a great way to travel.  But with little kids, it's sometimes easier to go with your own transportation.
