We are coming in December and staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Is there anything to do there? We have an almost 2 year old. What should we do, or pass, with a 2 year old? My husband and I have never been to Disney at all.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elizabeth! I’m so excited to know that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your Mouseketeer this Holiday season! Thanks so much for stopping by with your planning question.

Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotels offers some great value for guests wanting to visit the Orlando area. While I don’t have specifics about the resort you have mentioned, you can always ask someone at the Front Desk for information about resort activities when you check in.

Disney Springs is bursting with Holiday fun during the month of December! I think your toddler might like visiting the Christmas Tree Trail! There are so many beautifully themed trees! My favorite is Princess Cinderella’s tree. I’ve heard that there’s a Haunted Mansion themed tree that is an awesome addition for this year, too.

Elizabeth, you will also have the chance to meet with the big man himself, Santa Claus! You can find him at Santa’s Chalet at Disney Springs between 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. daily. It's right across from Once Upon a Toy.

Rainforest Café at Disney Springs Marketplace is also a really fun place to grab a bite to eat. Your little one will love the Amazon themed restaurant, complete with singing birds and trumpeting elephants. T-REX is also a fun choice if your Mouseketeer likes dinosaurs. To check for reservation availability during the dates of your stay at either of these restaurants, you can visit this web page.

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any additional planning questions. Helping you with all the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
