Hi I am coming Dec 2nd to 6th,I would like to see the Xmas parade do you need to have special tickets to see taped or other wise

    Hi Janet!

What a great time to visit Disney World! The first week of December is one of my favorite times at the World. The incredible decorations definitely put me in the mood for the holidays!

During this time, there are actually two different Christmas parades:

First, there is the taping of the annual Christmas parade which is broadcast to play on television Christmas morning. For this event, there are special tickets, which are typically offered to Annual Passholders on a first-come, first-served basis. These tickets usually go quickly, with few (if any) being leftover for the general public. If you happen to be in the park, as a day guest, while it is being taped, you'll be able to catch glimpses of it as it is filmed. Often, there are multiple "takes" while filming, so you may even see some parts repeated!

The other event during your stay is the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party parade. This parade is held each night of the holiday party. This is a special ticketed event and does cost extra. Personally, this parade is one of my favorites (the other is the Halloween party parade!). One float even features special gingerbread scents - YUM!

    Have a great trip!
