Hi Jana! Welcome to planDisney!
The early bird gets the worm, and in your case, planning early just might get you every Theme Park Ticket, reservation from the
Enchanting Extras Collection, and Character Dining Experience you may be looking for on your next trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. Your question made me smile, as I'm currently living life with an almost 13-year-old. While she currently loves Walt Disney World Resort I hope she's never "too cool" for Mickey Mouse! I'm glad to hEAR that your daughter is ready to dive back into the magic of the Resort!
I'm sure your daughter's 18th birthday will be an incredible and magical celebration no matter what, but you can certainly make it extra special for her! Make sure to stop by the Front Desk of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or any Guest Relations desk at the Theme Parks to grab her a "Happy Birthday" button. Cast Members, other Park Guests, and even her favorite character pals might notice it and shout out a happy birthday as she strolls by.
If
Character Dining Experiences are what the birthday girl wants then I would say try for as many Advance Dining Reservations that include character friends as you can. As you probably know, all Guests are able to start making their
Advance Dining Reservations 60 days before arrival. If you're staying at a Disney Resort you can book for the length of your stay (up to 10 days) all at the same time. I suggest hopping on to the Walt Disney World website or your
My Disney Experience mobile app around 5:45 a.m. on that special day so that you're able to grab as many Character Dining Experiences as will fit into your vacation!
Some of my favorite Character Dining Experiences include Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort and
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Remember that if you don't initially get every reservation you're looking for, you're welcome to keep checking even once you've arrived at the Resort! Many times, Guests cancel at the very last minute, opening these reservations up again for you to grab.
Don't forget to add a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to one of your dinners so that your daughter can make a birthday wish!
