Coming back to WDW in Sept! Traveling with 8 this time, 4 are kids (2-16yrs). Thinking about doing Chef Mickeys for dinner, 2 yo DD loves Mick! Is it hard and time consuming to leave park, travel to CM, then return to park? Which park is closer to CM?

Hey Erin! Congratulations on your return trip in September to Walt Disney World!  Chef Mickey's is a fun atmosphere and your kids will love dining with Mickey and friends!  Chef Mickey's is located in Disney's Contemporary Resort and is a short walk or monorail ride from Magic Kingdom. Epcot would be your second closest park and you could easily travel via the monorail. I definitely don't think you will find it to be difficult or too time consuming to travel to Chef Mickey's from Magic Kingdom. In fact, I have done this very thing on numerous vacations. After dinner, I would recommend making the short 10 minute walk back to Magic Kingdom as that would be your quickest route back to the park. I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Best wishes for a Magical September Trip, Erin!
    Happy Planning,
