We will be coming from Australia to spend Christmas at WDW staying at CBR with a family of 13. As we are getting close to prebooking are you able to inform us what restaurants will be doing special Christmas meals. We need to be organised with a large party

Hi, Laurence!  You and I are both gearing up to make those Christmas week dining reservations.  Is it as stressful for you as it seems for me?  I am always hoping to get my family's favorite restaurants!

They have not yet released information as to which restaurants will feature special holiday menus.  This can be a bit frustrating for planners, but I can tell you that historically, many of the restaurants will offer at least something that is different from the typical fare.  You might also consider a place like Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom for dinner.  It's always a hearty holiday type family meal there, so you may get the homespun feeling you're looking for.

Some of the restaurants with holidays special offerings in the past have included theme park locations such at the Biergarten at EPCOT, Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  They have typically added a carved ham or turkey, in addition to some traditional holiday side dishes.  Disney resorts that have provided a holiday specific menu in the past include Citricos at the Grand Floridian, Whisperining Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, The Wave at the Contemporary Resort, and the Flying Fish on the Boardwalk.

What I do is make my reservations at the places I know we really want to dine at, and if I see a holiday meal that peaks my interest, I'll try and rebook as soon as the information is available.

Good luck planning your Christmas celebration!  I'm doing it for a party of nine, and I'm both excited and anxious at the same time!
