Hey there, Bruce! I'm so happy to welcome you BACK to planDisney! It truly means a lot to us that you continue to turn to us as a trusted resource for your Disney vacation planning. Thank you for making us part of the magic!
I'm happy to share that Walt Disney World offers a variety of
transportation options that can accommodate an ECV, making it easier for all Guests to travel comfortably and efficiently around the resort.
If you're planning to visit Magic Kingdom and would like to
travel by water, you can board your ECV onto the ferryboat at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which will take you directly to the park. Let me tell you...there's nothing quite like getting that first glimpse of Cinderella Castle as you approach by boat.
The water taxi service known as the "blue route" provides transportation between Disney's Contemporary Resort, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Currently, the blue route operates daily from 3:00 PM to 10:45 PM, however, these hours are subject to change. I recommend checking in with a Cast Member upon arrival to confirm the most up-to-date schedule.
If you're hoping to travel directly between
Magic Kingdom and the
Contemporary, your best option is the Monorail. ECVs are easily accommodated, and you'll be able to board smoothly and reach your destination quickly.
Since you'll be visiting with a mobility device, I highly suggest visiting the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities section on the Walt Disney World website, as well as your
My Disney Experience app. It's a great resource filled with helpful details, including which attractions allow you to remain in your device, which might require a transfer, and accessibility information for shows and parade viewing areas.
I hope this information is helpful, Bruce! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney!
Magic Awaits,
Kami
