Welcome to planDisney, Glenn!
How exciting to see you're visiting the Disneyland Resort in April! The spring is a wonderful time for experiencing magic. I'm happy to help you get your family all set up for seamless park entry! Linking everyone's tickets is pretty fast when you're all physically together so that you can use the scan feature. However, if you're not, it can still be done. I'll share both ways for your reference. Let's get ya'll ready for some magic!
Set up Disney Accounts + App
Before you can share the tickets with anyone else, they need to have their own Disney accounts, assuming they're 13 years or older. Anyone under 13 will need to just use the paper ticket you'll get upon entry, pair their ticket with a MagicBand+ or an adult can use their app to scan them in. Be sure everyone downloads the Disneyland app next.
Scan to Link Tickets: If you're all together before your trip, scanning is probably the fastest and easiest way to add tickets. Make sure you have your app open to each person's ticket as you go through the steps below:
- Once Everyone has the Disneyland app downloaded and they're logged into their Disney accounts, navigate to the three bars on the bottom right of the home menu and click "Tickets and Passes."
- In their app have the person click the "+" in the top right and then "Link Tickets & Passes."
- Have them click "Open Camera" and have them scan their ticket from your phone to link to their app.
Type Ticket ID: If you need to virtually add everyone's tickets, you'll want to send them the first 2 steps above as they'll be the same to start the process.
- Instead of "Open Camera" they'll want to tap "Type ID."
- Text or Email them their Ticket ID (via screenshot or just the numbers in a message).
- They can copy and paste the ID Number into the app to link to their account.
Voila! Everyone should be linked up and ready to go! Did you know that when you arrive it will be during two fantastic experiences? Star Wars Season of the Force begins April 5 and Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival will be running through April 22! I'm excited about both mostly because anytime there is a festival or experience it means there's new foods to try and merchandise to buy! Follow @disneyland on Instagram and check out the Disney Parks Blog to read about all the Disneyland Resort happenings!
Wishing you and your family safe travels to the Happiest Place on Earth, Glenn! Let us know if you have any other questions before your arrival, we're here to help!
See ya real soon,
Camille
