    Coming in April and the countdown has begun! Question: My husband has an allergy to tuna and salmon. Want to take kids to Teppan Edo. Heard it is quite a show, but concerned about the allergy. How safe are the chefs with knives, cooking surfaces, etc?

    Isn't counting down to a Disney vacation so exciting? We love to create fun calendars and trivia cards to help us wait for the big day. 

    Teppan Edo is delicious and yes, it is quite a show. We dined there in October with our three boys and it was the first request of all three of them when we begun planning our next trip. Although our family does not personally deal with food allergies, we have traveled many times with others that do. When we were there in October, a member of our party was highly allergic to mushrooms.

    One of the great things about all of the Disney restaraunts is the attention to detail in dealing with food allergies and health concerns. The chefs are very cautious in the handling of the food and any contamination with foods that cause the allergy. The chef will visit your table and discuss the allergy with your husband, what menu choices are safe and the best options in preparing his choices.

    Be sure to ask the Cast Member to note the allergy when scheduling the reservation and advise your server once seated at any Disney restaraunt. I know many families who will only vacation at Disney World because of severe food allergies and the attention Disney gives to helping guests with these condtions. Feel free to discuss any of these concerns with the staff and I am confident you will all have a safe and wonderful dining experience.
