Hey there Darryl,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. It sounds like you're planning a fun trip that will include a few days at the Happiest Place on Earth - how fun!
Currently, to visit one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and
theme park reservations for each day you plan to visit, so there is a bit of planning involved and it can't be a totally spontaneous decision.
However, theme park reservations are pretty flexible and you can reschedule your dates very easily in the
My Plans hub of the Disneyland Resort website as long as there are available reservations for the day(s) you're hoping to visit.
If you take a look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, you'll see that theme park reservations do get booked up - especially as you get closer to the current date. My recommendation would be to take your best guess as to the three days that you're planning to visit the Disneyland Resort during your trip, and then modify those reservations if your plans change leading up to the visit. This way, you'll be able to secure those dates for now and then can modify them if needed as long as there is still availability closer to your vacation.
While it doesn't sound like it'll be an issue based on the plans that you shared, I also wanted to note that you'll need to use your multi-day tickets within 13 days of first use. Since it sounds like your visit will encompass only seven days, it shouldn't be an issue, but wanted to share in case your plans change and you're able to visit for a longer period of time!
Thanks again for your question, Darryl! I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the Disneyland Resort next year.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
