    So when it comes to annual passes how far in advance can you purchase them? I know they expired 365 days from first use. We where thinking about buying a year before we need them. Is that possible? Also w/ annual passes can u park hop; what R pros to it?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! Thank you for bringing us your question.

    I checked with a cast member at Passholder Services and she said annual pass vouchers expire 365 days after your purchase. Once you do activate it, you will have 365 days to use it. If you have any other questions on activating your Annual Pass you can contact them directly at (407) 560-7277.

    Park hopping is one of the many benefits of being an annual passholder. Some other benefits include:

    • Resort room discounts - periodically Disney will announce special room discounts for annual passholders. These discounts can be for as much as 35% off the regular room price.
    • Dining discounts - not only are there many restaurants around Walt Disney World which offer discounts to annual passholders, you can also become a member of Tables In Wonderland which offers 20% off of food and beverages at over 100 on-property restaurants.
    • Merchandise discount - Annual passholders generally receive a 10% discount on their merchandise purchases. There are even some locations that offer up to 15% off.
    • Discounted backstage tours - Several of the backstage tours offer a 15% discount
    • Special event ticket discounts - For example, annual passholders receive a $5 discount on tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
    • Mickey Monitor newsletter - includes passholder exclusive events and special discounts.
