Can I combine rider switch with multi pass? Example. All 5 adults with lightning lane Ride 1: adults A,B,C and D with lightning lane Wait outside: adult E and baby Ride Switch for A and B Ride 2: Adult E with lightning lane + A and B (Ride Switch)

Hi Taciana, and welcome to planDisney! Lightning Lane Passes can really help maximize your Disney day, especially when you’re trying to squeeze in as many attractions as possible between nap times and feedings. So I’d be happy to chat about how Lightning Lane and Rider Switch work.

You can certainly combine Lightning Lane Multi Pass with Rider Switch. In your case, you don’t have to, since you have enough adults to split up and watch your little one, and everyone already has access to the Lightning Lane entrance. However, using Rider Switch in your scenario will let one adult in your crew ride twice.

As you’ve noted, when using Rider Switch, your party will form two groups. Group One (Adults A, B, C, D) goes on the attraction while Group Two (Adult E) waits with the baby. When Group One is finished, they’ll wait with your little one while Group Two heads to the attraction. Since there’s only one person in your second group, Adult E can go with someone from Group One so they don’t have to ride alone.

To set this up, head to the attraction with everyone in your party and let a Cast Member know you’d like to use Rider Switch. They’ll scan the theme park ticket of Adult E and the person from Group One who will be riding twice. Once that’s done, Group One goes ahead and rides the attraction while Adult E takes the baby somewhere nearby to wait for their turn.

Before I go, I wanted to mention the Baby Care Centers, which were super helpful when my nephew was younger. These quiet spots have different areas for nursing, feeding, and changing diapers. And there’s also a kitchenette with bottle warmers and a microwave. If you forget any essentials at home, like diapers or baby wipes, you can purchase them there.

And finally, if it’s the baby’s first time at the Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to pick up a complimentary First Visit button! You can get one at the front desk at Disney resort hotels and at the register at many gift shops.

I hope you have a wonderful time at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
