Is it too cold in December for the water parks and/or Kali River Rapids? Thanks! John

The answer is, "It depends." The average high temperature at WDW in December is in the mid-70s, probably just about right in the afternoon for a bit of water fun.

However, bear in mind that 70s is the AVERAGE. During any particular year or on any particular day, you might find temperatures to be drastically different. I was at WDW about five years ago in December and we ended up needing to wear our winter coats in the parks because we were so freezing. Then in December 2007, we were all at WDW for our Moms Panel training. We encountered temperatures in the mid-80s. I would have loved a little time in the water parks on that day. Try to pack a lot of layers for both extremes, but with any luck you'll be riding the Rapids during your vacation.
