    When will Cinderella's Castle be lit up for Christmas? Will it still be lit up during Marathon weekend? Thanks

    Hi Pauline!

    Seeing Walt Disney World fully decked out for the holiday season truly is a magical sight!  It seems like almost every square inch of the parks and resorts are trimmed and twinkling.  Although the schedule can vary a bit from year to year, Santa's elves usually arrive to start the Christmas decorating soon after the Halloween decorations come down.  Magic Kingdom is one of the first stops they make since they want it to be ready by the first date of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is scheduled for November 8, 2015 this year.  This is one of my favorite times of year to see Cinderella Castle since it is literally dripping with lights.  It's breathtaking!  I've been to Marathon Weekend twice in the past few years and both times, Cinderella Castle has still been decorated for the holidays, so I would expect the same to be true again for 2016.
