I have a chronic connective tissue disease. I have trouble walking and standing for long periods. I have my own pretty blue ECV. Do I need a lock for it to prevent theft? Can the Disney bus accommodate my ECV?

Hi, Lisa!  If your Electronic Convenience Vehicle is a pretty standard sized model, you shouldn't have any trouble at all on the Walt Disney World buses.  I've traveled with people using their own ECV, and we haven't run into any problems with the buses and the ECVs.  Obviously, there is limited space for ECVs and wheelchairs on the buses, so you may have to wait for a second bus to come, but you'll fit!

If your ECV has a key, you should just be able to take the key with you and trust that your ECV will be fine.  If you would feel more comfortable with a lock, rather than have your vacation marred with worry, I'd go ahead and bring the lock with you, just so you won't stress over the safety of your ECV.  I personally haven't had any bad experiences leaving an ECV parked, but both of my family members who have used them have had keys to take with them.

I hope you have an absolutely magical Walt Disney World vacation!
