Ho, ho, ho, Terra, and welcome to planDisney!
Let's give a round of "Santa-plause" for your festive question because there's "snow" time like the "present" to plan for a holiday trip to The Most Festive Place on Earth!
They say that Christmas comes but once a year, but at Walt Disney World, the festivities stay around for a while. While we don't yet know what this year's plans and schedules will be, I can tell you I was at Walt Disney World last year after December 25th, and I'm happy to share all the holiday fun I enjoyed.
If you hope to see sparkling tinsel and festive lights, you're in for a treat. The theme parks,
Disney Springs, and Resort hotels will be completely decked out in holiday spirit. One of my favorite experiences of visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays is seeing all the magical Christmas trees around the Resort hotels and theme parks. I guarantee that you'll find festive pixie dust everywhere!
Last year, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays ran through December 30th. This festival celebrates holiday traditions from around the world and features delicious global holiday foods. I look forward to this festival and the Holiday Cookie Stroll every year! Speaking of culinary delights, I don't know about you, but all I want for Christmas... is FOOD! You'll still find holiday treats in the parks even after December 25th! YAY!
Additionally, last year, the very special holiday fireworks show at Magic Kingdom,
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show, replaced Happily Ever After from December 21-29! This nighttime spectacular is one of my favorites and will most definitely keep you in the holiday mood!
Terra, I am so happy you'll visit at such a wonderful time. As your trip gets closer, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date holiday announcements and details. Please feel free to come back and visit us anytime with your holiday questions. We will be here to help you "unwrap" all the magic coming your way this winter. I "ho-ho-hope" you'll have the most magical visit!
Happy holiday planning,
Shonette
