When are the Christmas decorations going up in Walt Disney World for 2012 and how long will the stay up?

Christmas decorations start going up around the start of November, typically after they have taken down the Halloween gear. They don't do it all overnight, but you should see some good activity well before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Of note, a few larger pieces, like the Christmas tree in the entry to the Magic Kingdom, may not be up until after they tape the Christmas day parade, which they do in early December. That is so that it does not block the camera shot.

As for tear down time, these decorations last through the New Year holiday and then come down.

I hope that this helps? Write me back if you have any follow-up questions?

    Have a magical vacation!
