Hi - when do christmas decorations go up and come down?

Ho, ho, ho, Liza! A very merry un-Christmas to you!

Hands down, my favorite time to go to Walt Disney World is when the theme parks and resorts are decked out in their holiday best. I think Walt Disney World is magical on a normal day, but throw in some Christmas spirit and holiday festivities, and it reaches a whole new brighter, merrier level.

You will usually see Christmas start to sparkle at Magic Kingdom Park right after the clock strikes midnight for the pumpkins on Halloween. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins this year on November 8th, so almost as soon as Halloween is over, you'll see the Christmas holiday decor come out.

Over the first couple of weeks in November, decorations start to go up at the Disney Resorts Collection hotels and the other theme parks. By the week of Thanksgiving, just about all the halls will be decked with some sort of holiday finery.

After the holidays are finished, you'll get about a week into the New Year to see the decorations. Most of the special holiday activities are finished or finishing up, like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, EPCOT's Candlelight Processional, and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. By the second week of January, every stocking that was hung with care, every bough of holly that decked a hall will be packed away until next year.

I do hope you get to enjoy the magic of the holiday season at Walt Disney World, Liza!
