When did the Christmas decorations go up at Art of Animation last year?

    Hi, Shannon!

Disney's Art of Animation Resort has so many great features, including three wonderfully themed pools and an outstanding food court, the Landscape of Flavors. Christmas decorations in the Disney Parks, particularly in Magic Kingdom, typically begin going up at the end of the first week of November (which coincides with the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party). Guests get to experience all the magic of the season at the Disney Resorts beginning in mid-November. By Thanksgiving all the resorts will have been outfitted in their full holiday splendor. You will find the most elaborate decorations in the lobbies of the Deluxe Resorts, particularly at the Grand Floridian, Beach Club and Yacht Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Contemporary.

My family stayed at Art of Animation last November and December. The holiday decor at Art of Animation went up in mid-November (around November 16th). There were snowy garlands decorating the entrance as well as the interior of Animation Hall, wreaths lining the back wall of the Front Desk and other areas, and a tall white tree in the lobby decorated with colorful balls and sketches of characters from Cars, Finding Nemo, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. I recall there was also a smaller white tree with colorful decorations in the middle of the Ink & Paint Shop.

I hope you'll get to experience Art of Animation during the very magical holiday season!
